International experience plays a major role in the Bachelor’s Degree in International Culinary Arts Management. From their second year onwards, students on the culinary arts course at Institut Lyfe have the opportunity to undertake an international internship, giving them their first taste of working abroad. This internship outside France allows them to put the skills they have acquired into practice in different cultural and organisational contexts.

In addition to internships, the Bachelor’s Degree in International Culinary Arts Management also offers our students the opportunity to study abroad during a semester of academic mobility in their second or third year. With 56 partner schools in 40 countries, this international mobility experience allows students to discover other teaching techniques, new working methods and different professional environments.
International experience obviously means going abroad for internships, but it’s not just that. International experience begins within the school, with 75 nationalities represented. We also welcome chefs from all over the world to the campus: an opportunity for students who don’t always have the chance to go abroad, but who can discover other cuisines and meet real sources of inspiration here.

Incorporate the Japanese Cuisine & Culture option into the third year
In the third and final year of the Bachelor’s degree in International Culinary Arts Management at Institut Lyfe, the ‘Japanese Cuisine & Culture’ option offers a unique approach, combining technical mastery, understanding of traditions and immersion in Japanese culinary culture.
By integrating the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine, one of the most demanding gastronomic traditions in the world, students at Institut Lyfe develop rigour, precision and attention to detail, while deepening their understanding of Japanese culture.
This third year concludes with a seven-month academic immersion in Japan at Hokuto Bunka Academy: living and studying at the heart of this major culinary culture allows students to gain a deeply distinctive international experience.
