A new era dawns for Institut Lyfe’s graduates

A day filled with emotion, sharing and pride, it brought together students, families and teaching teams to honour the success of our young graduates. The graduation ceremony doesn’t mark an end, but rather a beginning: the start of a new chapter and a professional career that will unfold day after day with passion, dedication and creativity for our new alumni.
A morning of reunions on the Écully campus
The day began on the Institut Lyfe Écully campus, with joyful reunions between students, teachers and families. It was an opportunity for everyone to capture this unique moment in class photos and to receive their degree certificate – a milestone marking the conclusion of a journey rich in learning, experiences, and above all human connections.
Ceremony at L’Amphithéâtre 3000
Participants moved on to Lyon’s L’Amphithéâtre 3000, where emotions culminated during the symbolic presentation of sashes. In an atmosphere that was both solemn and joyful, graduates took to the stage to the applause of their relatives, fellow students and teachers.
Guided by our masters of ceremonies Annabelle Warnier, Talent Manager, and Nicholas Tête, Lecturer in Food Science, the event brought a succession of memorable moments: speeches, testimonials, dancing performances and heartfelt tributes.
The ceremony was attended by Gilles Pélisson, President of Institut Lyfe, Marie Simon and Benoît Charvet, class patrons of the Bachelor’s in International Pastry Management, Sébastian Bras, patron of the graduating class Bachelor’s in International Culinary Arts Management, and Stéphane Sonnet, class patron for the Bachelor’s in International Hospitality and Restaurant Management.
Each, in their own way, shared reflections on their profession, including recollections from their career and valuable advice for the future. The class patrons reminded everyone present that excellence is nourished by passion, humility and openness to others. Words that deeply resonated with the graduates, now ready to chart their own paths in the hospitality, culinary arts and pastry sectors.
The beginning of a new era
Beyond the ceremony itself, this day marks the beginning of a new era for our graduates as they set out into the professional world. It represents the culmination of one journey and the beginning of another, where knowledge meets experience, passions become professions, and talent takes on its full dimension. Some of our alumni will open their own patisserie or restaurant, others will travel to dream destinations to join top names in the hotel industry or international groups. Each will find, in their own way, the path that leads to the career of their dreams.
In keeping with the spirit of Institut Lyfe, our graduates now join a network of more than 6,000 alumni across more than 90 countries. An engaged and inspiring community that contributes every day to promoting the professions of hospitality, pastry and culinary arts around the world.
