Faire défiler la pageAfter two weeks of intense competition, Adrien, Etienne, Brieuc and Antonin, 3rd year students in the International Hospitality Management program, took the first place of the Cesim Elite Tournament challenge, a business game that brings together students from 24 major schools and universities.
Cesim, a Finnish company specialising in the design of management simulations for higher education institutions, has implemented the 1st edition of the Cesim Elite Tournament. A real business game 100% online and 100% in English, this challenge targets students from 2-year to 5-year from French-speaking schools and universities.
A competition that combines creativity and management
Grouped in teams of four and supervised by a professor from their school, students took over the management of a virtual company and competed in a management simulation on a fictitious market. They had to manage entirely the marketing operations of their soft drinks distribution company: decision about product features, pricing policy, targeting, promotional operations and even the distribution of investments allocated to Research & Development.
Supervised by Pascal Lamoussière, educational director and evaluated by a jury made up of Cesim members, it was Adrien, Etienne, Brieuc and Antonin from the Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management, who finally came 1st in the ranking. Bravo to our second team: Kawtar Abbouch, Marion Esteve (Culinary Management), Baptiste Deloche et Sibylle Canonica (Hospitality Management).
Next step: the two best teams will have the opportunity to participate in the great international competition that will take place in London over 2020.
This challenge perfectly illustrates the experiential and collaborative approach of our pedagogy, the aim is to develop in a fun way the creativity, the entrepreneurial spirit and the managerial agility of all our students.
