Faire défiler la pageThe fourth year at Institut Lyfe marks a pivotal stage on the student journey. Thanks to specialised training geared towards innovation, students have the opportunity to work on concrete projects linked to their specialisation and the challenges of the sector.
Submitted by experts and partner companies, these projects offer true professional immersion, allowing students to put their skills into practice and innovate in their respective fields. Serving as a springboard into professional life, these experiences provide a valuable head start for their future careers.
A diverse range of key projects
Our students take part in a variety of projects, from developing an innovative event strategy for a Swiss aesthetics clinic, to creating a bistronomic catering concept for Domaine de la Chaize, or optimising revenue by introducing new services for Coucoo Cabanes, a network of cabin-based retreats in France that promote responsible tourism and complete disconnection.
Some students sign up for collaborations with partner companies, some explore new trends in the sector, and others support entrepreneurs in bringing their vision to life.
One standout example is the collaboration with Jeanne Jouvet, a graduate of Institut Lyfe, who is currently launching a new hotel brand: Pantoufle.
Supporting the launch of a new hotel brand: Pantoufle
A 2023 graduate of Institut Lyfe, Jeanne Jouvet is embarking on a daring entrepreneurial adventure with Pantoufle, which promises accommodation catering to unabashed langour, centred on the customer experience, and anchored in authentic local life. His first establishment will open its doors in Marsanne, Drôme Provençale, in May 2025.
Pantoufle Hotels is an invitation to take your time, to enjoy a gentle and comforting setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. A place designed for you to relax, refocus and simply savour the art of well-being.
As part of their specialisation, our students had the opportunity to work alongside Jeanne Jouvet on various aspects of the project:
- Supporting the transition period for the current restaurant
- Converting local and current customers to the new Pantoufle hotel brand
- Attracting new clients, focusing on a young, urban target
- Developing a customer experience to create forever memories
This collaboration is a perfect illustration of the strong bond between Institut Lyfe and its network of graduates: an ecosystem where innovation and excellence combine to shape the hospitality and restaurant industry of tomorrow.
Barely a year ago, I was still attending the school, and today, here I am creating a place and a brand while collaborating with future graduates. It’s a rather unique experience that allows me to take a step back and assess everything that my training provided. I realise how relevant and concrete the courses at Institut Lyfe are.
Working with these students, I find the same dedicated and creative approach that has brought me so much. It’s also a nice way to maintain a connection with the school,l and to pass on a little of my experience in turn.
