The Student Hospitality & Culinary World Tour: a project designed by two of our own students

Faire défiler la pageNicolas Grüner, a 3rd year Culinary Arts Management student and François Jestin, a 3rd year Hospitality Management student have recently embarked on an extraordinary adventure called the ‘Student Hospitality & Culinary World Tour’.
The project was dreamt up entirely from start to finish by our two students with the objective of discovering new trends in hospitality, food service and gastronomy alongside food enthusiasts and top professional chefs located around the 4 corners of the world.
During 9 months, Nicolas and François will be marketing France as a tourist destination across the globe, paying visits to our alumni and promoting Institut Paul Bocuse to French expats. They will also carry out an analysis of tourist data in order to detect emerging future trends whilst visiting more than 38 hotels, 80 restaurants and meeting approximately 120 professionals working in the hospitality and food service industry.
In total, our two trend hunters will visit 9 destinations, including: Amman, Dubai, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and finally Tokyo.
Given their departure on Thursday 1 November, the staff and students at Institut Paul Bocuse wish them all the best for this amazing project, which is the perfect illustration of the Institute’s values: altruism, courage, creativity and entrepreneurship.
