Accommodation in student residence
The Clipper, the ideal choice for first-year students
The Clipper is the school’s student residence: it is located a 5-minute walk from the campus, making it ideally situated. The rooms are furnished and equipped. When you stay at the Clipper, you will have access to a gym open from 6am to 10pm, a lounge where activities are organised every week, room service and a laundry service.
The option to rent a room at Clipper is reserved for first-year students, particularly those who are minors when they enrol at Institut Lyfe, live far away from their families, are international students, or are scholarship recipients.

Accommodation in one of our partner student residences
Institut Lyfe campus is located near other higher education institutions on the Lyon Ouest Écully Campus. Several student residences are available approximately 15 minutes from Institut Lyfe campus: Carré West, StudyWest and Univers 9 residences by Les Belles Années, and Le Drakkar residence by Nomad Campus. In these student residences, applications from Institut Lyfe students are given priority.
The accommodation, ranging from studios to two-bedroom flats, is furnished and equipped with individual kitchens. Each residence has a laundry room and an individual internet subscription is included in the rent. Some residences also offer parking.

Being a flat tenant
The Institut Lyfe has built up a network of trusted property owners who offer accommodation specifically for Institut Lyfe students: the flats may be located right next to the school or in the centre of Lyon, allowing you to explore the city. You can find all these property listings on the Good Place platform, which is exclusively reserved for Institut Lyfe students.
Individual login details will be provided upon confirmation of enrolment at Institut Lyfe.
Living with a host family or in a shared flat
Our students also have the option of renting a room in a private home or sharing accommodation with (or without) their classmates. Through the Initiall or Myroom, you can find shared accommodation in the immediate proximity of the campus. By choosing to find accommodation through platforms such as Initiall or Myroom, you will have access to furnished and spacious properties where all charges are included in the rent (internet, water, electricity, cleaning of communal areas). Some apartments even have a cinema room or a garden where you can enjoy sunny days.
Living with a local family also offers greater comfort: as with a shared flat, you will have your own furnished room but will have access to the entire flat. Some houses near Institut Lyfe even have a swimming pool: an ideal living environment when starting higher education!
Living in shared accommodation or staying with a local family are attractive alternatives that are popular with our students. These solutions encourage interaction and reduce feelings of loneliness when first settling in. They offer a reassuring and friendly living environment, which is particularly appreciated when moving to a new city, often far from the family home. These various solutions make it possible to live in a flat that is larger than a studio while reducing rental costs.
