2025 Integration Week at Institut Lyfe: first steps, new encounters and great discoveries
Faire défiler la pageThe arrival of each new student intake at Institut Lyfe is one of the highlights of the year, full of enthusiasm, energy and discovery. For the 2025 academic year, 380 new Bachelor’s students have joined the campus, ready to write a new chapter in their journey.
Freshers’ week is much more than just the start of a new academic year: it marks the beginning of a personal and educational adventure that will shape students throughout their training. Designed to blend excitement, curiosity and team spirit, this week ensures that everyone finds their place while fully immersing themselves in the unique world of Institut Lyfe.
Tailored integration for international students
Two days to support adjusting to a new environment
Even before the official launch of Freshers’ week, a specific welcome path was organised for our international students arriving from all over the world. This year, Institut Lyfe proudly welcomed students representing 47 different nationalities, arriving on campus full of dreams and ambitions.
Their first day, dedicated to administrative aspects, smoothed the transition into life in France: from official procedures to practical information, personalised support and much more. A host of essential points were covered to help students settle into their new life in Lyon with confidence.
The next day, it was time to meet and explore! The campus buzzed with a full-scale murder murder-mystery party, a fun way to break the ice and foster collaboration. Laughter, chats and first bonds forming between students set the tone as they began their adventure together.
In the afternoon, the magic continued on the water. On board a Rhône and Saône river cruise, the new arrivals were able to admire Lyon and its rich heritage, while sharing a special moment with their new peers.
A week of integration for all: discovering, sharing, adapting
Freshers’ week then got underway for all of the new students. For five days, the campus came alive with meetings, presentations, workshops and above all, discoveries.
Discovering our facilities, learning to navigate the campus, finding their bearings in this new environment: all the essential steps to transform the unknown into familiar ground.
Discovering the teaching and administrative teams, who will accompany them throughout their journey.
Discovering their future classmates: first meetings where relationships are forged that will become lasting friendships.
Donning the uniform – a symbol of induction into the Institut Lyfe family
One of the symbolic moments during Freshers’ week is the presentation of student uniforms, followed by the traditional procession. This highlight marks their official induction into the Institut Lyfe community, and includes the presentation of the school pin. Donning the uniform signifies becoming an integral part of the Institut Lyfe family – taking a step into the future with high standards and pride.
An immersion in student life
Since Institut Lyfe is also a place of community and engagement, the students were able to connect with our various student associations. From sport and the arts to solidarity and entrepreneurship, these groups provide countless opportunities to flourish beyond the classroom, nurture passions and take an active role in campus life.
This week of integration will remain etched in students’ memories forever, as the starting point of both a collective and personal adventure. For many of our students and graduates, this first week on campus becomes one of their most treasured memories.
