The international experience at Institut Lyfe
Faire défiler la pageAn is part of the DNA of Institut Lyfe. We believe that curiosity and openness to the world and its cultures are sources of enrichment, innovation and constant inspiration. International exposure is a key element of our learning experience.
The international experience at the heart of our campus:
We welcome 1,200 students from 75 different nationalities to our campus near Lyon, with international students representing 30% of our intake. At Institut Lyfe, you can experience a multicultural environment every day, without leaving France.
Student events, learning in kitchen laboratories and group work in management courses provide opportunities to share different points of view and discover a variety of talents.

Our ambition is to foster an international culture, one that encourages new ideas and promotes tolerance without borders.
The international experience at the heart of programs
Because openness is essential in the hospitality and gastronomy professions, each course includes a mandatory placement or study component abroad.
The international dimension is an integral part of our courses. Our courses are aligned with the European Credit Transfer System, guaranteeing recognition of your qualifications both in Europe and abroad, and offering the option to continue your studies in France or internationally.
All our Bachelor’s degrees in International Culinary Arts Management, International Pastry Management and International Hospitality & Restaurant Management, offer an “English Track”, taught 100% in English.
You will have the opportunity during your bachelor’s degree to gain international experience through a placement or an academic exchange.
Our MSc programs are taught 100% in English and have been developed in partnership with leading universities and schools.
Double degrees at Institut Lyfe
Obtaining an internationally recognized double degree with one of our partner universities or schools (in France and abroad) means multiplying your opportunities: two degrees, two academic cultures, two professional networks. This distinction adds real value to your studies and enhances your employability.

Our MSc – Master Of Science in Culinary Leadership & Innovation is the fruit of a European academic partnership with the Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki. It enables students to earn a double degree and discover the innovative teaching methods used in Finland for a full semester.

The double MSc in International Hospitality Management, in partnership with emlyon business school, gives students the opportunity to spend a semester in Paris on the emlyon campus, and a semester in Las Vegas at our partner university, UNLV.

As part of the Bachelor’s in International Hospitality and Restaurant Management, students have the opportunity to do a double degree at Woosong University – South Korea, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), or Conestoga College, Canada.
