Live Lyfe French Way

International students, welcome to your new family! Our International Student Affairs team is on hand to help you with everything you need from the moment you arrive in France. Our goal is to facilitate your smooth integration and help you settle into your new environment quickly and comfortably so that you can make the most of your experience at Institut Lyfe.

  • On your arrival, you’ll take part in a pre-Freshers’ seminar specifically designed for our international students. This will help you get to know the campus, Lyon city center and our various staff teams. Cultural workshops, conferences and team building activities will help you build relationships and explore the many facets of French culture.
  • From April onward we organize “Webinars of Welcome” (WoW Seminars, online), to answer your questions (visas, start dates, schedule for the academic year, finding accommodation, and more).
  • Throughout the year we organize cultural excursions (“Study Tours” ) and participate in food festivals, such as the Lyon Street Food Festival and the Sirha exhibition to encourage intercultural exchange and allow you to explore our rich French heritage.
  • We offer courses in partnership with the Alliance Française Lyon and Inflexyon to give you confidence with the French language.

Tailor-made assistance with administrative procedures

The Student Affairs team offers help and support for all the administrative procedures related to your studies abroad:

  • Obtaining your visa or residence permit, for non-European students: once your enrolment is confirmed, we offer you personalized support to organize your arrival in Lyon. For information on obtaining a visa or residence permit visit the Campus France website
  • Help in your procedures with the OFII (French Office of Immigration and Integration) and the Rhone Prefecture.
  • Help with securing suitable medical cover with the department for Social Security (the organization that deals with medical expenses and guarantees access to health care) and membership of a mutual medical insurance program.
  • Support and contacts with our banking partners in order to open a bank account in France which will enable you to pay bills, receive reimbursements for medical expenses and deposit earnings.
  • Help with applications for housing assistance allowance towards rent (CAF).
  • Support for the payment of CVEC (Contribution to Student and Campus Life)

Enrolling at Institut Lyfe as an international student

Are you passionate about gastronomy, travel, wine or pastry? Do you want to learn alongside the best French chefs and international lecturers? Apply now for one of our courses.

For candidates completing the French baccalaureate, regardless of nationality, applications must be submitted exclusively via the government platform Parcoursup.fr

 

For candidates completing equivalent international qualifications, applications can be submitted outside of Parcoursup, directly on our website, from now until May 31, 2026https://en.institutlyfe.com/apply/ :

Follow these steps to registration:

  1. Fill out the form on the website : https://www.institutlyfe.com/candidater/
  2. You’ll receive an e-mail inviting you to the application portal
  3. Choose your course, level, preferred language and desired session
  4. Log in to the application platform
  5. Complete all required fields
  6. You’ll receive a summary of your application
  7. You can then pay the application fee and upload the requested documents
  8. Once your application has been finalized, the development and recruitment department will verify your qualifications
  9. If eligible, you will be invited to choose an on-site admission session
