Career events: professional opportunities not to be missed
Faire défiler la pageSeveral times a year, Institut Lyfe’s Corporate Relations Department organises career events for its students. These events take a variety of forms: lectures called “Career Talks”, more intimate lunches with a professional from one of our sectors, and job dating events called “Career Match”, which allow a greater focus on building relationships aimed at finding internships or jobs. They all aim to improve the employability of students and graduates.
Culinary arts, pastry, hospitality and the restaurant sector are all proudly represented at these events, which give our students the opportunity to talk to a wide range of professionals, recruiters and inspirational leaders from our industries, and to look ahead to the near future to get a clearer idea of their choice of internship and career.
For the companies and professionals taking part, these events are a great way to showcase their businesses, raise awareness of their professions and their uniqueness, but also to find tomorrow’s talent by offering great internship or employment opportunities, both in France and abroad.
CAREER MATCH, A BLEND OF TALKS AND JOB DATING
The first Career Match of the 2023-2024 academic year was held recently, with almost 40 companies taking part, either in person or digitally. More than 480 students attended the sessions, and more than 250 internships and jobs were on offer from all over the world.
The Career Match events allow us to grow our network, meet lots of companies and have internship or job opportunities once we have finished at Institut Lyfe.

On the lookout for creative, disciplined candidates with a thorough understanding of hospitality, our graduates, Institut Lyfe’s first-line ambassadors, were also on hand to meet our students and tell them about the opportunities available in the establishments where they work.
Throughout the day, our students were presented with a wide choice of professions and careers. On the hospitality side, students were able to talk to recruiters from the luxury hotel sector, including the Ritz Paris and Hyatt, as well as from the lifestyle hotel sector, with Mob Hôtel for example, and the glamping concept Huttopia.
The diversity of the establishments and professions on offer allows our students to gain an understanding of the many opportunities available in our sectors.

Nicolas Del Barrio and Lorine Deville, members of the PIC Group Human Resources team, travelled to Écully to take part in the Career Match organised by Institut Lyfe. The day provided the chance to talk to students and present the exciting career opportunities we offer. We also hosted a talk to present the various career paths available within the PIC Group. It was a great opportunity to meet the talents of tomorrow.

Held at the new Gérard Pélisson Campus for the first time, the event put our students in contact with recruiters from a range of countries, with Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Morocco, the USA and many other destinations represented at the Career Match. Whether from the Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Restaurant or Pastry streams, our students benefit from internship and job opportunities around the globe.
