Institut Lyfe at the heart of Sirha Lyon

At Sirha Lyon, a landmark event for professionals in gastronomy and hospitality, Institut Lyfe’s commitment to training the next generation of talents was showcased once again. Thanks to outstanding collaborations, our students and graduates excelled at this global event, demonstrating that excellence and passion are at the core of our educational approach.

Over five days, more than 200 Institut Lyfe students actively participated in the event, which welcomed over 200,000 visitors. Sirha Lyon is not only an unmissable trade fair for food service professionals, it also provides a valuable opportunity for learning and work experience for our students.

Our students at the heart of the action

Institut Lyfe students on the Bachelor’s in International Hospitality and Restaurant Management had the unique opportunity to contribute to various prestigious events:

  • Bocuse d’Or and Pastry World Cup: our students demonstrated professionalism and precision in these outstanding international competitions.
  • Maître d’Hôtel Trophy: students brought their savoir-faire to the final of this national competition, offering a top-level customer experience.
  • In the restaurant promoted by GL Events and Enodis in the Partner Village, our students put their expertise to work for a demanding clientele.

Portfolio, a unique pop-up restaurant

Located at the Sirha Food Pop-Up, Portfolio restaurant was a collaborative effort, with our Hospitality-Restaurant students managing the service aspect, and students on our Culinary Arts courses taking care of the cuisine. Supervised by Institut Lyfe trainers, they offered visitors a unique gastronomic experience. A meeting point of gastronomy and art, attendees of Sirha Lyon and customers at Portfolio restaurant were able to fully immerse themselves in a contemporary gallery, where each dish was conceived as a unique work of art. Over five days, our students catered for more than 500 guests from all over the world.

Institut Lyfe graduates front and centre

The five intense days of the Sirha Lyon exhibition once again showcased the talent and excellence of our Institut Lyfe graduates. Taking to the stage of the Sirha Food Forum, Marie-Victorine Manoa and Carla Kirsh captivated visitors with inspiring masterclasses, in which they shared their know-how and passion.

In the Pastry World Cup, Fabrizio Mellino sat on the jury, scrupulously evaluating candidates’ creations. Institut Lyfe was also proudly represented at the Bocuse d’Or:

  • Meryem Cherkaoui and Giovanna Grossi employed their expertise as members of the cookery jury.
  • Beatriz Gonzalez, Carla Kirsh (once again!) and Alejandra Espinoza worked on coordinating this prestigious event as members of the organising committee.
  • Ahmed Ben Semlali was a dedicated coach to the Bocuse d’Or Morocco team.
  • Finally, on the French Bocuse d’Or Team, Claire Dellinger and Guillaume Grosbois played a key role in France’s resounding victory on Monday.

Sirha Lyon offered our students invaluable professional experiences, exposing them to the highest standards of excellence and allowing them to refine their expertise alongside industry leaders. These hands-on, immersive experiences perfectly embody Institut Lyfe’s educational philosophy: learning by doing while cultivating passion and a sense of going above and beyond. This edition will be remembered by all, confirming our role as a point of reference in shaping the talents of tomorrow.
