Faire défiler la pageA new online competition has recently been introduced by Institut Paul Bocuse. This time, our school has joined forces with the famous Michelin-starred Chef Serge Vieira who will challenge our students to come up with a 100% plant-based dish on the theme of lettuce.
Despite classes and work placements being physically suspended, our students are still being offered a range of opportunities to put into practice their know-how, creativity and their desire to excel.
Our teaching staff have decided to call on Serge Vieira for a new culinary challenge, the rule being that students should come up with a creative dish at home, for which the main ingredient is lettuce. Students will also be asked to take a photo of their dish, showcasing lettuce in all its various forms using only fruit, vegetables, cereals, seeds or pulses, and not forgetting to add a distinctive original touch making a reference to Institut Paul Bocuse. The finalists will be those 5 participants whose photos get the most votes.
An exciting challenge proposed by one of the leading figures in French gastronomy
Serge Vieira is the Chef at his own 2-star restaurant located in Chaudes-Aigues and aged only 27 was the grand finalist winner of the Bocuse d’Or awards. For our future culinary and hospitality–food service professionals, he is a fine example of entrepreneurial success. It will be Chef Vieira himself who selects the winner from the 5 finalist photos, offering a further source of motivation for our students. In addition, the first prize will be a meal for 2 people at Serge Vieira’s 2-star Michelin restaurant!
Until we know the name of the lucky winner, here are some mouth-watering culinary achievements…
