The Revenue or Yield Manager’s job is to improve the hotel’s revenue, i.e., to sell the hotel’s services at the best possible price to achieve maximum profitability. To do this, they analyse the occupancy rate, the average price per room, establish a pricing strategy, draw up provisional budgets for marketing initiatives, etc.
Required attributes:
- Comfortable with figures
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to take measured risks
- Analytical skills and ability to draw clear conclusions
